We had the privilege of speaking with Senior Lighting Artist, Mike Tanzillo. What is it like running an online art school while working on the lighting of large sequences at Blue Sky Studios? Mike is here to answer these questions and much more.
Mike is a Senior Lighting Artist with eleven years of experience at Blue Sky Studios. With titles like: Ice Age, Epic, Rio, Peanuts, and now Spies in Disguise, Mike has a ton of knowledge about the Feature Animation Film Industry. Mike is also one of the co-founders of the Academy of Animated Art which is an online school for students looking to become Lighting Artists and more. We talk to Mike about his humble beginnings and about pursuing a career in Lighting CG films.
